New: The Gourmet Photographer

My associate, Andrea Oschetti, who is an accomplished chef and photographer, introduces his "Gourmet Photographer" evenings. Here is how Andrea describes it:

-----

Dear foodie and photography lovers

I will be hosting a series of dinners paired with lectures on photography: The Gourmet Photographer. The first dinner will be held at my home on Monday 26 April starting at 8.00pm

On the first dinner, I will give a lecture on PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY through the analysis of selected remarkable photographs. I will explore the artists' intention and the images' technical issues.
At the end of the dinner, I will give out practical exercises to do by yourself that will help you improve your portraiture skills.

The DINNER will be a three course Italian meal featuring the freshest ingredients imported from Italy: Buffalo mozzarella DOP from Naples married with Sicilian tomatoes, homemade beef lasagne my grandma's style, traditional tiramisu'. Special arrangements will be made for people with dietary requirements. You may bring your own wine or buy it from me at wholesale prices.

The cost of the dinner and the lecture is HK$ 488

Places are limited to 14 people on a first come first served basis.

Yours

Andrea

Workshop graduate hits front page

Workshop graduate hits front page

September 15, 2009: Mike Siward participated in my photography workshop last Easter. And now his work has been published on the front page of today's South China Morning Post.

Mike's spectacular photograph of a lightning strike on The Centre is worthy indeed of its prominent place on the front page of Hong Kong's largest English language newspaper.

Congratulations, Mike!

Next photography workshop starts on June 28

My popular series of photography workshops are mostly sold out until August. The next workshop with vacancies will be the weekday class in August. Please see my workshop web site for full details:
